MUMBAI: Television actress Tanya Sharma who rose to fame with her role of Meera in the show ‘Saath Nibhaana Saathiya’ took a break from the telly industry to explore other modes of entertainment and waiting for a different role to play.
The actress who hails from Delhi is making her come back with the show ‘Qurbaan Hua’ and in this show too her character is of a girl who is from Delhi. “I think being from Delhi has helped me a lot with this role because I know how the people of speak and the way their behaviour is especially the girls of the southern part of the city. I will start shooting soon and I feel happy to be back on TV again” shares Tanya
The actress was a prominent part of the show ‘Saath Nibhaana Saathiya’ and talking about its season 2 she shares, “I watched it first episode and I felt very emotional seeing the cast because the show and its people are very dear to me as I have given three years of my life to that show. Now there are new people too and due to the schedules I have now I have lost track. During the lockdown when the old episodes of the season 1 were being shown I received loads of messages from the fans especially from the young people who loved my character”

The actress started shooting in July and completed her projects whose shooting came to a halt due to the pandemic. “My parents were sceptical about me shooting in a time like this but when we see it from the producer’s point of view then things are very difficult and different.
I was not even going out initially because of the fear of my parents testing positive for the virus was there in the mind. But now what I have understood is that this virus is not going anywhere soon and we have to co-exist with it” shares Tanya.
