Saathiya: winding up?

Cinevistaas' <em>Saathiya</em> starring Amar Upadhyay, Shrradha Nigam and Sanjit Bedi is likely to go off the air waves by January end. The production house has been hearing about this and has tried to check with the channel (SaharaOne)- but to no avail. The end, as and when it comes, we hope will not be abrupt. While Shrradha has bagged a chat show Soul Mantra for the now-in-planning Times Hindi channel, Upadhyay is keeping his fingers crossed that Ekta Kapoor will call him to play an important role in the fast-forward version of <em>Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi</em>.

Meanwhile Cinevistaas, which also saw the shutdown of Saakshi on Sony recently, is putting the final touches on three new shows, one each for Sony, Star and Zee. The formalities are being completed and an official announcement in this regard is in the offing.
