After Star Plus’ Sach Ka Saamna stirred a debate in Parliament owing to its adult content, the channel has decided to push the airing time of the show by half an hour. The show that launched at 10:30 pm will now air at 11:00 pm. SKS became an instant hit amongst the viewers in the very first week of its launch. The show had a bumper opening by registering a TVR of 4.6 in the first week. Says the channel, “We at Star India have taken note of the debate in certain sections of the society about Sach Ka Saamna. It has been heartening to see an outpour of endorsement and support for this program. We are particularly thankful to the media, both print and television, for its mature and constructive support to the show. We are also thankful to the I&B ministry, led by the Hon. Minister Ms. Ambika Soni, for a very patient and constructive handling of the situation. Given our commitment towards responsible broadcasting and our unique relationship with Indian families, we have decided to voluntarily and proactively move the telecast time to 11.00 pm from tomorrow onwards. This decision reiterates our strong commitment to all our viewers and esteemed stakeholders across the country.” Following this change the re-runs of Mitwa – Phool kamal ke will now air at 10:30 pm. Watch Sach Ka Saamna, from August 11, 2009 every Monday- Friday, 2009, at 11.00 pm on Star Plus.
