Raj Thakur who served the Indian Navy for years, dared to face the music in the Star Plus reality show Sach Ka Saamna, and took home a huge booty of 50 lakhs.
Now, Raj is trying his luck as an actor! He has bagged his first big break with the Sony show, Bharat Ka Veer Putra Maharana Pratap (Contiloe).
He has been roped in to play a very crucial role, that of Kalyan Singh Rathore aka Kallah. The character will be the nephew of Raja Jaymal. Kallah will always be remembered in Indian history for being the bravest warrior to fight the Mughals in Maharana Pratap's army. He is supposed to have died in the Haldighati Yudh after slaying and single-handedly killing thousands of people.
Kallah will join Pratap in a bid to get back at the Mughals for kidnapping his uncle. It is also believed that this character will go on to marry Pratap's sister.
When contacted, Raj told Tellychakkar.com, "Yes, I am entering Maharana Pratap. I have been looking out for a full-fledged acting career, post my stint with Sach Ka Saamna. When this offer of playing Kalyan Singh came to me, I took it up at once as he is supposed to be a powerful character."
