Sachal Tyagi to play the lead in Shakuntalam’s show based on English Vinglish; Sangeeta Panwar roped in

Sachal Tyagi who gave a power-packed performance as the scheming and wicked Ranvijay in Zee TV’s Agle Janam Mohe Bitiya Hi Kijo will soon be back working with the channel. He will play the male lead in Shakuntalam Telefilms’ upcoming show on Zee TV. The man will play a sophisticated business man who would be ashamed beyond a point with his wife’s attitude towards life. The show which will be loosely based on the Sridevi hit movie English Vinglish will focus on the struggle of a woman who got married at a young age, and has given her life to her family, house, husband and children. The show will be the journey of a woman who has lost her self-confidence in life owing to her low-key presentability and lack of expertise in English language. As reported in media, Binny Sharma, a find of Dance India Dance who earlier played the lead in Sanjog Se Bani Sangini will play the role of the female lead. Also joining the cast will be seasoned actress Sangeeta Panwar who has was earlier seen in Kairee and Punar Vivah – Ek Nayi Umeed. She has been roped in to play the mother-in-law of Binny Sharma. When contacted, Sachal told Tellychakkar.com, “Yes, I am doing the show. But I can’t reveal anything at the moment. I am sorry.” We tried calling Sangeeta, but she remained out of reach.
