MUMBAI: Kapil Sharma's colleague Teerthanand Rao, reportedly, was flustered with the whole pandemic situation and tried to commit suicide on December 27.
Teerhanand Rao was going through a financial condition due to the pandemic. His neighbours learned of this situation and he was rushed to the hospital. Teerthanand spoke to a news channel and shared that he is in major debt and his family has also abandoned him. Therefore, he had no desire to live anymore.
He further revealed that his mother and brother live in the same complex as him but they do not visit him. Talking further, he told the channel that despite returning from the hospital, he's staying alone and how much worse could it get. Teerthanand also said that his wife remarried and his daughter is also married. The actor spoke exclusively to a media portal.
He shared, “I had done a film 'Pav Bhaji' for which I wasn't paid. I did a low-level web show for which no money came my way. The film's makers said that they are in the red. I have been out of work. Besides, my family does not associate with me. I have a daughter whom I cannot get in touch with. She spoke to me in 2019, saying that her mother has got her married. She seemed happy. It all began when she texted me that I would cry if I knew who was texting her. I sensed it could be my daughter. Sometime later, she made a video call. After that call, I could never reach her on the number from where she'd contacted me. Seems, she changed her number immediately thereafter.”
“I received help from Ghanshyam in CINTAA to the tune of 10K. Vikram Gokhale has given me 5K. That's all. Nobody else from the TV industry has called up to check on my welfare. I want and I request people to come forward and help me, financially, “he added.
