MUMBAI: Actor Sahil Balani, who plays the role of Dilip Jadhav in Rahul Kumar Tewary’s Udne Ki Aasha, says that time management is very important if you are part of showbiz. The actor adds that he makes sure to make his health a priority as well.

“It’s very necessary to prioritise things. Time management, prioritizing tasks, planning regular breaks, staying organized, and self-care are very important parts of being an actor. I prioritise physical and mental health by maintaining a balanced diet and proper workout hours. It gets a little challenging because of the unpredictable nature of the industry, but with good management, everything is possible,” he says.

He adds, “I love being on set, especially when there is a positive and welcoming environment, making overtime fun. I ensure that extended hours don’t negatively impact my well-being. I maintain open communication with my team to ensure a sustainable working schedule. As an actor, healthy nutrition, a balanced diet, and staying hydrated are crucial for me. It’s always necessary to keep my energy levels up during the shoot.”

Daily soaps also mean constant work and constant income, and that really helps, he says, adding, “Daily soaps offer a blend of consistent work and come with their own set of challenges and rewards. As we know, nothing is easy, and our choices define us. Daily soaps provide steady income, regular work, exposure, and good industry connections. Despite the long hours and hectic schedules, everything feels worth it when the outcomes are great, and the audience appreciates it.”

He adds, “It is essential for actors to embrace their work proudly, regardless of the medium, and recognize that their skills and performances truly define their careers. The focus should be on the quality of the work rather than its label.”
