Saregama India to come up with a sitcom for SAB TV

Saregama India Limited’s non-fiction venture Prayaschit - Gunahon Ke Zakhm on Sony Entertainment Television did not manage to gain the numbers. But they will hope to be lucky this time around as they are coming up with a sitcom for SAB TV. The production house has already shot for the pilot episode. And they have got on board renowned names like Shoma Anand, last seen in Gilli Gilli Gappa, Tiku Talsania (Sajan Re Jhoot Mat Bolo fame) and child actor Jay Thakkar, who is fondly known for his stint in Laagi Tujhse Lagan. The show is slotted to go on air by June or July (2012). “Yes, I have shot for the pilot episode and it is an interesting show. I was on break as nothing appealing came my way. Hope this show will do wonders on the channel,” affirmed Shoma Anand to Tellychakkar.com. Jay Thakkar’s mother also confirmed the buzz, while Tiku Talsania remained unavailable for comment.
