MUMBAI: Udaariyaan, the first show Sargun Mehta and Ravi Dubey produced together, is still going strong on Colors. The show recently took a fresh turn with Shreya Patni, Avinesh Rekhi, and Aditi Bhagat in the key parts. When the popular news portal contacted Mehta to discuss the upcoming chapter of Udaariyaan, we asked the head woman about the bold choices she made for the show, which ultimately worked out well for the project.

When discussing the uncertain choices that proved to be brilliant for Udaariyaan, Sargun Mehta recalls choosing Ankit Gupta. She stated, "Specifically, I guess Ankit was the casting that we were not agreeing with till the last minute. Infact, the night before it, we had chosen somebody else and finalized another actor. And it was only in the morning that we decided to take Ankit instead. I'm really very happy that we chose him."

In addition to Ankit Gupta's casting, Sargun Mehta wasn't quite convinced about the notion of filming in Chandigarh. For the unaware, Chandigarh serves as the shooting location for every show produced by Sargun Mehta and Ravi Dubey under the Dreamiyata banner.

Sargun added, "I think coming to Chandigarh was one decision that I wasn't really sure about. I mean, I wanted to do it, but I didn't know how things would work out. But I think it has been one of the best decisions that I have taken for our shows and production house as a whole."

Ankit Gupta, Priyanka Chahar Choudhary, and Isha Malviya played the key characters of Fateh, Tejo, and Jasmine, respectively, in the show Udaariyaan.
