Sarvagun Sampann to start from May 10

Balaji’s latest offering Sarvagun Sampann has finally got the 7 pm time slot. So contrary to speculation, the show won’t replace any of the existing shows on Imagine. However the channel has a different strategy now to air this show at an earlier slot. A source from the show says, “We have just finished our first outdoor schedule in Kolhapur and are shooting in Mumbai. We were supposed to go on air on May 3, but it is looking difficult at this moment. So the channel has given us a new date, May 10 at 7 pm. We never had any show at this slot. So we are keen to know how it will be received.” Pooja Bose who plays the protagonist says, “Yes our show will be on air in the second week of May and is likely to get the 7 pm slot. It will soon flash in the promos.” Sarvagun Sampanna is the story of a girl who performs lavnis (a dance form) for a living. She later falls for a guy who belongs to a rich and a powerful political family of a village in Kolhapur. The couple gets married after they hide her profession from his family. The show also stars Nivedita Saraf, Abhinav Kohli, Sunil Godse, Anurag Nigam, Tanvi Thakkar and many others. The male lead is yet to be finalised. With this show Balaji and NDTV Imagine will be directly competing with Star Plus’ soon to be launched Saath Nibhaana Saathiya and Colors’ Bhagyavidhata.
