Shah Rukh Khan is not hosting Bigg Boss season 8, confirms actor's spokesperson

Shah Rukh Khan
Speculative piece of news seems to be emerging as the new form of journalism these days. Journalists, striving to stay afoot in the rat race of breaking news, often jump the gun and dish out information, which from initially being half baked go on to become incorrect. Indeed, a matter of concern. But, we here at Tellychakkar.com make all possible attempts to tie all loose ends and cover maximum corners before dishing out any news. Now coming back to the peg of this story, we would like to negate the story appeared in an entertainment daily that Shah Rukh Khan has replaced Salman Khan as the host in Bigg Boss (season 8). The news, our lovely readers, is as false as pigs flying in the air. That Salman Khan might not return to host the eight installment of Bigg Boss, is a high probability. He has dropped enough suggestive hints about the development during the airing of the last season. Since then media has been speculating on the probable replacement. Names like Ranbir Kapoor, Ranveer Singh, Hrithik Roshan, Ajay Devgn have been tossed in the air. But as of now, nothing has been finalised yet. The SRK angle chipped in after he made an appearance at a recent event and post party thrown by Colors. SRK was there but Salman gave a miss. Thus, the journos wondered whether SRK would host Bigg Boss, replacing the dabanng Khan, an idea which seems to be rather mythical at the moment. Hear from a source: “As it goes, Salman still is in contract to host another couple of seasons of the show. If he moves out, then there are legalities involved. Furthermore, SRK is too smart to enter Salman’s shoes immediately given the amount of controversy the show churns out. We think the news is hogwash.” Now, after a chat with the source, we called up a Colors spokesperson who chose not to comment on the replacement angle but went on to inform: “Shah Rukh was there for the IAA Leadership Awards. He won the Brand Ambassador OF The Year: Male award. He could not make it on time, due to his work schedules, to receive the award on stage hence dropped in later to collect his trophy and meet up with industry friends. Nothing more than that.” Hmm…now we know what SRK was doing at the event, which fuelled all the speculation. Next, we checked with SRK’s publicist Mandvi Sharma who went on to say, “No, he is not hosting Bigg Boss’ next season. The news is absolutely false and incorrect.” To cover all corners we also buzzed Shevta Brahma, from the agency Matrix India Entertainment, who handles Salman’s PR. She said that she would not like to comment on a speculative piece of news, on Salman’s behalf. Well, we will keep following the development and on receiving any further updates we shall share it over here in a jiffy. Keep reading Tellychakkar.com.
