MUMBAI: Vikas Khanna needs no introduction he is India’s number one chef.
He is one of the judges of the cooking reality show MasterChef India ( Hindi).
He has also cooked for special functions for Naremdra Modi and Donald Trumph.
Khanna aslo featured as a Consultant chef to help a failing Indian restaurant named Purnima on the Gordon Ramsay TV series Kitchen Nightmares.
Khanna appeared as a judge and an Indian-cuisine specialist on the two-part season finale of Hell's Kitchen.
He has appeared on Throwdown! with Bobby Flay as a judge and as a guest chef on The Martha Stewart Show.
He has won many awards which includes Top 10 Chefs in the world by Deutsche Welle News and Gazette Review, Proclamation from the New York City Council for his outstanding contribution to the city, and was chosen "New Yorker of the Week" by NY1.He was voted "New York's Hottest Chef" in a poll conducted by the New York Eater etc.
Eight months in, Chef Vikas Khanna's Bungalow is still dazzling New York City's culinary scene. This charming Indian eatery, inspired by the bygone era of British-era India, has been receiving overwhelming love from guests.
Recently a the king of Indian cinema Shah Rukh Khan visited his place.
The actor only praised the chef and wad delighted to be there.
Chef described hosting the renowned actor at Bungalow in New York as one of the greatest honours of his career.
He shared a post recently and expressed his feelings of hosting the actor.
In an emotional post, the Michelin Chef expressed that hosting Shah Rukh Khan, also known as the "King of Bollywood," was more valuable to him than serving many world leaders and presidents.
He shared a photo and captioned it saying ‘ I’ve hosted 4 American Presidents & almost every major World leader, but cooking for my Maa & YOU at Bungalow have been the biggest honour of my career & life. You are our family, our sibling, our pride, our childhood, our love story, our greatest joy & our best representation’
He further said, ‘When you were eating at Bungalow & held my hand & said, ‘I’ve not come to just a restaurant, I’ve come to honour a place that represents our parents & our culture.’ I cried like a child. I know Radha must be proud. You are EVERYTHING. Bless the mother which gave birth to a LION KING’
The actor had wished King Khan on his birthday on the 2nd of Novemebr and when the actor replied back to the chef he couldn't keep calm.
The actor also visited his chef Vikas Bungalow restaurant recently in New York.
The mega superstar could stop showering praise on the culinary genius.
