City life is known to be very stressful. And people often make hasty decisions to get some peace of mind. Some go amidst nature, some indulge in adventure sports, some scoff chocolates and the list goes on. But TV actress Shalini Chandran, better known as Maithili of Kahaani Ghar Ghar Kii, has a different take on it. For her when in stress, she packs her bags and visits temples.
A close source tells Tellychakkar.com, “Shalini wanted a break from the city life. Hence she packed her bags to visit the temples in South India along with a female friend.” On her itinerary, were a few temples in Mangalore, her Kuldevi’s temple( she is a South Indian), and the famous Tirupati Balaji. And this religious trip lasted for a good 15 days. Wow, that’s one long trip.
Tellychakkar.com spoke to Shalini who confirmed the same. “I had this strong urge to visit these temples and I just followed my heart.” And contrary to popular belief, this hasty decision turned out to be a good experience. “It was just wonderful to stay in peaceful place, away from the hustle and bustle of the cities,” reveals Shalini.
And that is not it. She has already jotted down a few names for her next getaway. “I would love to go Kamakhya Temple in Assam and then another visit to Tirupati Balaji is also on the list,” says the star.
Another temple!! This is one religious lass.
