Sharad Kelkar to star in Nikhil Advani's remake of 'Hero' along with Anita Hassanandani?

Sharad Kelkar and Anita Hassanandani
Actor Sharad Kelkar is on a roll!! After 1920: Evil Returns and Ram Leela, this talented TV star (Saath Phere and Sindoor Tere Naam Ka fame) is all set to play an important role in Nikhil Advani’s remake of the hit Jackie Shroff film Hero which will showcase Aditya Pancholi’s son Sooraj Pancholi. Our source states that Anita Hassanandani, who had first come on the radar with big screen flicks like Kucch Toh Hai and Krishna Cottage before moving to small screen (Kkavyanjali, Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi, and currently seen in Yeh Hai Mohabbatein), has been finalized to play Sharad’s wife. When contacted, Sharad told us, “I have been approached for a number of films by the same casting guy who is also scouting for faces in Hero. I have not heard from him and I am not sure about the above Salman Khan production, as it is still at the scripting process.” “Also, at this moment I am more pre-occupied with my wife Keerti Gaekwad’s pregnancy, as she is expected to deliver anytime now. Plus I also have my hands full with the Celebrity Cricket League (CCL) fast approaching where I play for Veer Marathi team, led by Riteish Deshmukh.” We tried to get in touch with Anita, but she was unavailable for comments. Here’s wishing that Sharad’s Bollywood career continues to flourish…
