MUMBAI: Raj Kundra was recently granted bail by a magistrate court.He was arrested in July and charged with violating pertinent parts of the Indian Penal Code and the Information Technology Act in a pornographic case.
The Mumbai police detained billionaire Raj Kundra in a case involving the fabrication of pornographic videos and their distribution through apps. Post his case, Raj Kundra’s family was cruelly mocked on social media. The trolls also targeted his family members, including Shamita Shetty.
Shamita spoke to Bollywood Bubble and explained it was very difficult for her as for the first time the situation was very different. She said, “ I was unfortunately being heavily trolled for no fault of mine. My family also, at that point in time, felt that it's better for me to just lock myself in that house. And also it was a previous commitment, and I didn't want to back off because of everything that happened. I wanted to stick to my word and continue.”
She also said that the show must go on. She further said that this time people were sitting at home with no work cause they've lost work. And she was being paid to sit in a house, so why would she say no.
Shamita's actress-sister Shilpa also spoke out about being ridiculed because of Raj Kundra, writing on her Instagram page that her family does not deserve a public trial.
