Smita Bansal is a doting mother

Smita Bansal, better known as Sumitra of Colors’ Balika Vadhu, is known as a very loving and caring mother of Sugna (Jhanvi Chheda) and Jagya (Shashank Vyas) on the show. However, very few are aware of the fact that she is a doting mother in real life as well. In fact, there are a lot of similarities between Sumitra and Smita when it comes taking care of their children. Ardent followers of Balika Vadhu have definitely seen different sides of Sumitra, the mother. She has been sweet and caring towards her children, but when required she has not shied away from showing her tough side. She never supported her children’s wrongdoings and went to the extent of disowning Jagya when he went ahead and moved in with Gauri (Anjum Farooki) in spite of being married to Anandi (Pratyusha Banerjee). That’s about her reel life motherhood. Let’s hear what kind of mother she is in real life. Says Smita: “I have an eight year old daughter, Stasha. I am a good mother but also very strict. Like Sumitra, it is difficult to wear the smile all the time irrespective of the happenings around.” She continues, “I keep a right balance when it comes to being strict and pampering my child. I just cannot spoil her by giving money every time. I scold her when it is needed. But I make sure I don’t come back home and take my frustration out at Stasha. I care for my daughter, hence I never be harsh on her unnecessarily.” Noble thoughts, Smita. She is currently away from work and spending some quality time with her daughter. “Stasha has her summer vacations on so I took time off and came to my mom’s place in Jaipur to have some nice time together,” she ends with a smile.
