MUMBAI: Sony Entertainment Television has always been a step ahead when it comes to experimenting with unusual yet real concepts through its shows. One such unique show, Ishaaron Ishaaron Mein, recently completed 100 episodes. It is based on the beautiful love saga of a hearing-impaired boy named Yogi (played by Mudit Nayar) and Gunjan (played by Simran Pareenja) and has already won many hearts across the country for its powerful storyline and perfect star cast. Yogi has proved to be an inspiration for the hearing impaired, motivating them to stand strong and love themselves wholeheartedly.
Grateful to be a part of the show, Mudit shares, 'This show is very close to my heart, as it gave me an opportunity to convey a less-discussed issue in society. Moreover, I am content to be a part of a show that is not based on regular saas–bahu drama but gives a unique flavour to viewers. The relationship between Yogi and Gunjan is itself very unusual. When they have to express their feelings, it is only through their gestures. I enjoyed the eccentric romance between Yogi and Gunjan, and I am sure viewers have also loved this..."Kyuki Ishaaron Ishaaron Mein aksar kahi baatein baya ki jaati hai."'
On contacting Simran, who plays a mute character in the show, about her journey, she shares, 'The journey of 100 episodes was full of learning, fun, excitement, and of course a great experience. Working with veteran actors like Sudhir Pandey Sir, Sulbha Arya Ma’am, Kiran Karmarkar Sir, and Swati Shah Ma’am has always been a driving factor to improvise my skills. Whenever I am doing a scene with Sudhir Sir and Kiran Sir, I keenly observe their performance. They both are extremely gifted and have a great command on their craft. Sulbha Ma’am is extremely kind and a free-flowing performer. Rishina, Debattama, and Saraswati has always been my go-to people to have off-screen masti.'
Good luck, team IIM!
