Sooraj Thapar to marry Deepti Dhyani on 9 December 2012

Actors of Colors’ Kairi seem to be in a super happy zone these days. No…we are not talking about their show going off-air, but developments in their personal lives. Yes, after Roshni Shetty aka Sajani, who is to get married on 7 December 2012, it is Deepti Dhyani aka Kusum who is all set to tie the knot, two days later, on 9 December 2012. As per a reliable source, Deepti is all set enter the wedlock with TV actor Sooraj Thapar. Incidentally, Sooraj was earlier married, however his relationship did not last long and he got divorced. Soon, he developed a liking for Deepti while shooting for Sagar Arts’ Chandragupta Maurya in Vadodra. It is there that the actor proposed Deepti for marriage some time ago, but it was only last month that the lady accepted the proposal. This is when the families came into the picture after which the wedding was finalised. This couple will have low profile nuptial which will be a mix of Garwahli and Punjabi rituals as Deepti is a Garwahli while Sooraj is a Punjabi. As far as the rituals are concerned, Deepti will have her mehendi on 7 December and haldi on 9 December. When we contacted Sooraj, he confirmed the same and said, “Yes, we are getting married and this is more like an arranged marriage as we did not get time to date. But, we have been friends for two years.” When we reminded of the age difference (Sooraj is much older to Deepti) between the two of them, he said, “It’s about having a mature person in your life and Deepti is pretty mature. So, I don’t think, age is an issue in this case.” Deepti too confirmed the same and said, “I actually took a lot of time to accept his proposal. But, we are finally getting married.” When asked about her honeymoon plans she said, “We haven’t planned anything yet.
