MUMBAI: Bigg Boss 12 has failed to perform on the TRP charts compared to the previous seasons. Hosted by Salman Khan, the show has simply not generated the buzz it was known for. Contestants like Anup and Jasleen’s fake romance failed to spark fireworks. Having said that, former Indian cricketer Sreesanth has become the most talked about housemate of the season for his antics.
Sreesanth has finally opened up about the infamous slapgate incident that happened 10 years ago during the inaugural season of IPL. For a task, the house has been turned into a newsroom and Surbhi Rana has been made the reporter.
In the 30-second promo released by the channel, Surbhi is seen asking Sreesanth about the slapgate incident. During a match, when Sreesanth's team Kings XI Punjab won over Mumbai Indians, Harbhajan had reportedly slapped the aggressive fast bowler. While there was no camera footage of the same, Sreesanth was seen crying inconsolably.
It seems like Sreesanth has a different story to tell though. Recalling the incident, Sreesanth claimed that he wasn't slapped but that Harbhajan just tried to hit him. He said that he felt helpless at the time and burst into tears.
In 2013, Sreesanth had tweeted that he was elbowed by Bhajji. Meanwhile, Harbhajan had admitted on Aap Ki Adalat that he had slapped Sreesanth and that he is ashamed of it.
