MUMBAI : Subuhii Joshii has always enjoyed the small screen. However, the actor, who was last seen in Yeh Un Dino Ki Baat Hain on Sony,
did not do television for a long time. She had her reasons for taking a step back. In between, however, she did some web projects. Subuhii is now back on the tube with her latest Voot show Bigg Buzz that also features actor couple Krushna Abhishek and Kashmera Shah. She talks about bagging this new venture and more.

“I’ve worked with Krushna earlier as well in Comedy classes. Working with him is always fun and great. Even Kashmera is very cool. She’s very supporting and motivating. Krushna will always be the first one amongst all to applaud or appreciate and it feels great when such things come from someone like him,” she says.

Not doing daily soaps was her conscious decision. “I wanted to take a break because I feel it becomes very stereotypical after a point. Health wise also I was quite drained—got cervical, blood poisoning, met with an accident too. So, there were a lot of things happening with me which is why I had to take a step back,” she reveals.

Commenting on the latest season of Big Boss that went on air recently, she adds, “It’s too early to say anything about this season because it’s just been a week. Also, this week hasn’t been great and I think even the contestants are not that happening, or maybe this is my interpretation because it’s at a very nascent stage. They haven’t done anything yet except for fighting over stupid things.”

A fan of Salman Khan, she is all praises for him as the host. “There’s nobody in this entire world who can do a better job than Salman Khan as the host for Big Boss. Nobody can be better than him or there’s no one who can fit in the show or replace him ever,” she declares.

Subuhii too has been offered Big Boss. “I’ve been offered the show twice but I haven’t done it because things didn’t work out. Hopefully, if I get offered next year, I would love to do it,” she says.

Talking about her career goals, she adds, “To be honest, I am very ambitious but not a person who enters television thinking I’ll get into movies. I was very satisfied working on TV. If I get any offer from films, I’ll do it happily, but I wouldn’t do it out of selfishness or helplessness. I’ll do whatever I love doing. I am a DJ as well. My goal is to do good projects and something which I would enjoy doing thoroughly.”
