She can prove she is saying the truth and this incident will shock everyone,” says Chandran. She says Marathi is not a foreign language for her. “But I had to work on the grammar. So I do not sit idle in my break time. I practice my diction. I was always interested in doing Marathi shows because nowadays they have shows on diverse issues. After a certain point of time Hindi shows start getting on your nerves and people then switch to regional shows.” She thinks whether it is a Marathi film, theatre or a show, they are doing good work. “The atmosphere here is wonderful. They are also kind and give respect to actors. While working in Hindi shows, we become so habitual to the scenes that sometimes we do not even bother to read them. Here due to the quality of work I feel like giving my 100%. Vikram Gokhale is so powerful, therefore whenever I have any scene with him I become conscious and feel responsible. It is like even an actor like me has to start all over again, like starting a new film. It is all exciting.” Chandran who’s known for her ‘screen images’ says this time too she will sport a different look. “It will be on the lines of Dolly Thakore’s. I will sport big red round bindis with long hair, cotton saris and junk jewellery. I will keep changing few elements here and there.” The actress is required to shoot only for 4-5 days a month for this show and she tells us it is not that difficult for her to manage it with her two other Hindi shows. She will soon start shooting for her comedy show Mr and Mrs Sharma Allahabadwale from April 21. Moreover there are two South shows and a movie which she will be doing soon.
