Survivor India to go on air from 7 January 2012

Star Plus is gearing up for its next big ticket reality show Survivor India produced by Miditech. Survivor has been an extremely popular show abroad and now the format has been licensed to India. Tellychakkar.com has already reported that the makers of the show have approached the likes of John Abraham and Ajay Devgn to host it which will see 10 celebrity TV contestants and 10 commoners battling it out to win the contest. Celebrities like Aditya Redij, Payal Rohatgi, J D Majethia, Karan Patel, Karishma Tanna, Munisha Khatwani, among others, will be seen competing with each other. The shooting for the show has already taken place in the Philippines. However, initial reports suggested that the show was supposed to replace Just Dance and hit the screen in October. But it got delayed due to some unforeseen reasons. Since then, lot of speculation was made about its launch date. Now, a reliable source from the show informed us that Survivor India will go on air from 7 January 2012. It will be aired on weekends in the 9-9.30 pm slot. “The show has a lot of masala,” further informed the source. Tellychakkar.com spoke to Niret Alva of Miditech and he said, “Well, I cannot confirm or deny the news. I cannot do it as it is too early to comment on anything. But yes, the post-production of the show is almost over and it will go on air very soon. The contestants in Survivor India have given their cent percent and the show is a hardcore one. Expect a lot of fun and masala.” This is one show that definitely deserves a dekho!!!
