Sushant Singh Rajput death probe: CBI questions Rhea on FIR she has registered against SSR’s sisters

MUMBAI: The Sushant Singh Rajput case is one the most talked about ones presently, and the family and his fans have been fighting for justice since day one. 

Earlier, we had seen that the prime accused Rhea filed an FIR against SSR’s sisters at a Mumbai police station. 

The actress alleged that they obtained a false prescription and administered banned medicines to Sushant with the help of a certain Dr Tarun Kumar in Delhi after she left the actor's apartment on 8 June 2020. 

Rhea also said that the sisters did not supervise the dose and that the quantity of medicines administered may have resulted in a chronic anxiety attack, leading to Sushant's suicide. 

The sisters were fearing that the CBI would arrest them and were pushing for the Bombay High Court to push the hearing for squashing the FIR by Rhea Chakraborty, but the CBI dismissed the FIR.

As per media reports, the CBI has questioned Rhea’s FIR and asked why she waited for 90 days to file the FIR against SSR’s sisters. If she knew that the medication wasn’t right, she should have informed the police back then. 

They also called the FIR a total disregard to the law and said that if she knew something was fishy, then post his death, she should have raised her voice. 

Well, Rhea is out on bail right now, and she was in jail for almost one month when she was arrested by the NCB under the NDPS act for consuming and procuring drugs.

The investigation is still on, and hopefully, the CBI should be able to crack the case and arrest the culprits. 

But this news is definitely a big relief for the family, especially SSR’s sisters.
