Sushmita Sen is Parvarrish's Aanchal Munjal's inspiration

When Sushmita Sen won the Miss Universe title and moved into Bollywood, little did she know that she would be making an impact on and be a source of inspiration for three year old Aanchal Munjal. A decade or more later, Aanchal is gaining fans for her role as Ravee in DJ's a Creative Unit’s Parvarrish on Sony Entertainment Television. Admits the sixteen year old lass: “As a toddler, I was totally fascinated with Sushmita Sen. I always wanted to become like her.” She moved to Mumbai and then began her journey to be in the arc lights. After doing the rounds of production houses and casting agencies, she was approached for Shanno Ki Shaadi on Star Plus. She later added the flick We Are Family to her kitty and that was followed by Parvarrish. “I could see my dream coming true,” she says smiling with a gleam in her eye. Along the way, she had to say “no” to some projects which came her way. She reveals, “I was busy with my tenth standard exams.” Furthermore, Aanchal says that she enjoys working with her co-actors in Parvarrish. “I enjoy shooting a lot at the moment as the ambience on the Parvarrish sets is superbly awesome.” And pray tell Tellychakkar.com readers who is she closest to on the sets? Getting candid she says: “Rupali aunty (Rupali Ganguly). I love her. She is truly superb and I share everything with her.” She finds Sunny (Rakshit Wahi) sweet but her best buddy is Rocky (Tapasvi Mehta), she confesses with whom she shares a fabulous rapport. What about romance? Is there anyone knocking on her heart’s door? “I am currently focusing primarily on acting. And that’s what I will continue to do,” ends Aanchal. Sushmita Sen would surely approve.
