MUMBAI: Yesterday, beloved TV actor from the show Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah Sunil Holkar passed away. According to reports, the actor was suffering with cirrhosis of the liver and was looking to get treated for the same. On Friday, the actor, aged 40, gave in to his ailments and passed away. This news has left fans and colleagues in the industry shocked and heartbroken and took to social media to convey their condolences for the actor and his family.

Actor Sunil Holkar is most popularly known for his role in the popular TV show Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah. As reported by a media portal, when Sunil found out about his condition, he asked his friend to share one final post on his behalf. Through his last post, the actor informed everyone about his death and even apologised to anyone he might have hurt. The message which was originally written in Marathi read as, “Friends, this is my last message for everyone. This friend of yours has left for heavenly abode. If I have ever said something wrong or made any mistakes, please forgive me. Goodbye, I had asked my friend to post this on my behalf.”

Comment after comment poured in for the actor on his Twitter. Cine & TV Artistes Association (CINTAA) shared a picture of Sunil Holkar and shared their condolences on his death in a tweet. They tweeted saying, “CINTAA expresses its condolences on the demise of Sunil Holkar (Member since 2017).”

Other than TMKOC, the late actor even appeared in various Marathi films like ‘Mandali Tumchyasathi Kay Pan’, ‘Lau Ka Laath’, ‘Sagla Karun Bhagle’ among others. He last played a role in the award-winning Marathi film titled 'Goshta Eka Paithanichi'. Sunil Holkar is survived by his parents, wife, and two children.
