It was a day that saw the who's who of the film industry show their solidarity towards a cause that they believed in. Television stars more or less, stayed away. But there were some from tellydom who chose to make their views on the issue clear by making an appearance at the Mumbai police gymkhana last weekend, where a cricket match was held on the occasion of the 'World No Tobacco Day.'

First to arrive at the venue was Bhaktyar Irani, who plays the popular Shahrouk Batliwalla on Sony's Batliwalla House No. 43. He was one of the commentators and matched wits with VJ Cyrus Broacha, who came accompanied by his son and regaled everyone with his usual brand of impromptu wit.
Pawan Shankar, who has endorsed many causes as the resourceful lawyer in Star One's Siddhanth, chose to do the same in real life as well --- he came with his wife and infant son and enjoyed the match.
Present also were Yash Tonk and Ashiesh Choudhury, who wore the colors for the cine stars, having themselves graduated to the big screen.
Ace comedian, Vrajesh Hirjee, who hosts a show on Pogo, was also present to promote the cause. Aman Verma prompted cheers from bystanders when he made his entry into the grounds, and did a reasonable job of putting up a double digit score on the scoreboard for the actors' side.
