Tellychakkar.com, one of the most read entertainment portals across the globe, has time and again extended its support to social welfare campaigns.
After its fruitful association with Smile Foundation, the platform has joined hands with The Lead Clubs Rotary Club Of Bombay Chembur West and Rotary Club Of Mumbai Ghatkopar - District 3140 in conducting Self Defense Workshops across Mumbai and Thane from 28 July to 6 August (2014) on personal safety designed to equip women to protect themselves.
Talking more about it, shared Ajay Gupta, District Governor, Rotary District 3140, “We Rotarians have always been active in social causes, and here is where we have the opportunity to once again lead from the front to empower women to defend themselves.”
President RC of Bombay Chembur West S R Balasubramainian said, "This is an initiative to End Crime Against Women. No abuse against women will be tolerated. We will work towards making India a safe place for women."

Rotary District 3140 in association with Action Breaks Silence would be conducting five workshops in Mumbai.
