The acceptance of Maharana Pratap's first episode gives us renewed energy to work harder - Rajeev Bhardwaj

Rajeev Bhardwaj
Rajeev Bhardwaj who essays the role of Chundavat is excited about the feedback that he has got post the first episode of Sony Entertainment Television’s Bharat Ka Veer Putra – Maharana Pratap (Contiloe Telefilms) that was screened on 27 May 2013. The actor was a bit skeptical about his look in the show, but is now relieved after watching him on screen. Rajeev told Tellychakkar.com, “We had been shooting non-stop for the show, and had not even seen the raw version of our sequences. So I was a bit tense about the way my look will appear on-screen, especially my beard. The beard given to me is a huge one, which grows upwards and it is really tough to manage it. However, I got appreciated by one and all for my different look and powerful portrayal in the first episode.” The entire unit of the show made it a point to assemble on their set in Aamgaon to watch the first episode of the show together. The ambience was positive and encouraging with huge projectors and screens erected on the set. Everyone from the technicians to the directors, actors and spot boys were present. The producers came down to Aamgaon to be with the cast and crew. Huge sofas and hoardings were erected for the occasion. On this mega get-together, Rajeev said, “Yes, the entire moment reminded me of my school days, where we used to be full of energy to do something. While watching the episode, we were clapping, whistling and enjoying ourselves to the core. In fact, the unit members even pulled my leg by saying that owing to some problems, Chundavat’s entry had been postponed to the second episode. And when Chundavat’s explosive entry happened with his high-pitch dialogues, I got applauded for my work. After the episode got over, we in fact had a small celebration where little Faisal Khan (young Maharana) performed and it was a real treat for us.” He went on, “Alas, the celebration was short-lived as we had to wind up and rest in our cottages, as we had a 7 am shoot the next day. Having said this, the entire unit is charged up after getting to know that the show has been accepted well. It gives us a renewed energy to work hard. It was a challenge for our producers to launch such a big show; the channel has left no stone unturned in promoting the venture. Now that the product is ready, the responsibility is on us to sustain and do well. We are ready for the big challenge.” Well said, Rajeev!! We wish the team of Maharana Pratap all the success.
