The entire world would know if I quit Balika Vadhu - Smita Bansal

Smita Bansal
The pretty looking Smita Bansal has turned a grandmother in Colors’ Balika Vadhu (Sphere Origins). But in real life, her face radiates and she looks as young as ever. Well, the rumour mills have already begun to churn out stories about the actress feeling a bit ‘uncomfortable’ portraying an elderly lady on screen. Hence we at Tellychakkar.com got in touch with her to know if she would like to continue playing a grandmother or call it quits like most telly actors do. “I am surprised that people have started talking about it,” said the actress with a smile on her face. Does this mean that she is happy with the show? “It’s not like I am happy or unhappy, but it’s just that I am in a very convenient position at the moment. Since I do not have too many scenes to be a part of, I have enough time for my daughters. My little one is just one year old,” averred the mommy. “Balika helps me balance my personal and professional lives and it’s anyway a win-win situation,” she further went on to add. We remind her that since she has always been a performer, doesn’t the lack of scenes bother her? “I am a passionate person but right now I am passionate about my family. Only after my daughter starts going to school, I would like to concentrate more on the acting part,” she answered. “The entire world would know if I am quitting Balika Vadhu. I cannot do things in a hush-hush fashion,” Smita quipped. “So, you would still see me as Sumitra in Balika Vadhu,” she said in an affirmative manner. Well, this indeed settles the dust!!!
