Ajay - Atul
In another entertaining episode of Zee TV’s Sa Re Ga Ma Pa, this Saturday the audiences will see the presence of the young, notable, dynamic and National Award winning music composer duo, Ajay & Atul. The duo have given the industry some foot thumping numbers like Kombdi Palali and its Hindi version, Chikni Chameli, Apsara ali, Devaa Shree Ganesha, Singham and many more. They came on the show to encourage the contestants for the upcoming Grand finale. The brothers said, “We feel honoured to come here today. We have grown up watching this show and today we are performing on this coveted stage. It’s an absolute pleasure.” They opened the episode by singing one of their own compositions ‘Ganeshay Dheemahi’ with Shankar Mahadevan. Both the brothers admire Shankar as he had sung this song for them when they were struggling in the industry. He had supported them in a big way. Amidst listening to the mind blowing performances dished out by contestants Jasraj, Jazim, Shenaz, Renu, Vishwajeet and Aman, the brothers, Ajay & Atul shared a very special childhood memory with all about how they nagged their parents to buy them their first keyboard. Said Ajay, “We were not good at studies. So we told our parents that there’s no point spending some Rs 10/12 lakhs on our education. We told them you might as well buy us a keyboard which will cost you only a lakh. It was an expensive instrument. So that we don’t manhandle it, our mother warned us not to use it like a toy.” After having used it like that, Ajay shared,“There was no looking back. We are still composing music with the keyboard.” The sequence will air on 5 January at 9pm.
