MUMBAI : Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai is a romantic drama television series that premiered in 2009 and ranked as the longest-running Indian television soap opera, completing 3000 episodes in 2019. It is produced by Rajan Shahi under the banner of Director's Kut Productions, it formerly starred Hina Khan, Karan Mehra, Shivangi Joshi and Mohsin Khan. Since October 2021, it stars Pranali Rathod and Harshad Chopda as the third generation.
The show has been doing exceptionally well ever since it began. The ratings are still very high and it is amongst the top five shows. The chemistry between Abhimanyu and Akshara is immensely loved and the track keeps the audience hooked.
Lately, the plot has been about the issues Abhimanyu and Akshara are facing post-reuniting. Neil and Aarohi have gotten married without telling anyone and are not completely accepted. Aarohi has been constantly trying to create issues. Recently, Abhimanyu came to know that Akshara will have issues conceiving and Aarohi finds out about this. She is now using this as leverage to blackmail Abhimanyu into gaining the respect of the Birla family’s daughter-in-law. Abhimanyu is doing what she wants so that she stays quiet about Akshara’s truth.
