Seasoned actor Rohit Roy, who is all set to start the second phase of his career with the newly launched SAB TV show Peterson Hill (Garima Productions), believes that there are bound to be certain competition between his show and his brother Ronit Roy’s show.
Recently, at the launch of the project, the actor got all chatty with us. And when we asked the actor whether he fears to face any competition from his brother’s show Itna Karo Na Mujhe Pyar (Balaji Telefilms and Sony) or not, as both the shows have same airing time, the actor mentioned, “Yes, there will be competition between us.”
“If you are airing our shows on the same time then there is bound to be some competition. But, I believe since these two shows are of two different genres, the viewers will be also of two different groups. I think those who will enjoy Peterson Hill will certainly not grow fond of IKNMP and vice versa. Now, the audience will decide what they would want to watch,” added Rohit.
The actor, who has mostly essayed chocolate boy images, in a lighter vein mentioned that he is trying hard to transform his image from Ranveer Singh to Amol Palekar.
We also asked the actor about entering comedy genre and he said, “I have already done few roles on television and now, this time I wanted to do something different and hence decided to do this role. Moreover, I really want to do something now which will make my daughter proud.”
The actor, who feels that comedy is the most difficult thing to perform, also mentioned that he draws inspiration from Amitabh Bachchan, Nasseruddin Shah and Aamir Khan.
We wish the actor all the best for his second innings on television.
