These TV actors were never replaced despite them quitting their shows

MUMBAI: Actors being replaced is not a new phenomenon. At times, actors quit the show or have creative differences with makers and are replaced with another actor. However, certain actors, who are synonymous with their characters, have not been replaced despite quitting the shows. The makers have either decided to change the storyline or opt for a time leap.

Disha Vakani

After Disha Vakani aka Dayaben took a maternity break in September 2017, the actress has not resumed shooting. She made a brief appearance during Navaratri in 2019, but continues to keep the makers waiting for her. Sources confirmed that the actress and her husband Mayur Padia are trying to make producer Asit Kumarr Modi agree to certain terms, but no amicable solution has been reached so far.

Hina Khan

Hina Khan, who became synonymous with the character of Akshara for eight long years, shocked people with her decision to quit in 2016 after saying that she wanted to pursue other projects. At that time, the actress in an interview to BT had said, “I have done everything that a bahu could do in the show. It is time now to explore newer avenues.” Hina’s character Akshara was not replaced in the show.

Shashank Vyas

Shashank Vyas’ character Jagya became a household name thanks to ‘Balika Vadhu’, but he quit the show in June 2015 after being a part of it for more than five years. Shashank reportedly wanted to focus on his fitness and other projects. Apart from that, he was also hesitant to play a father on screen at that stage in his career. He said, “It was risky to quit the show because it gave me everything, but I needed to do something more challenging instead of doing the same thing every day.” Shashank’s character was not replaced.

Vivian Dsena

Vivian gained huge popularity for playing the feisty Harman, who falls in love with a transgender in the TV show. However, when the show went for a time leap in august 2019, the actor decided to quit. He did not want to play a father on screen, and the makers decided to not replace him.
