MUMBAI: Television’s beloved power couple, Rubina Dilaik and Abhinav Shukla, continue to capture hearts with their unwavering bond, both on and off-screen.
The couple, who have an immense fan following, have long been admired for their public displays of support for one another.
Their journey, however, wasn’t always smooth sailing. During their time as contestants on Bigg Boss Season 14, Rubina and Abhinav both revealed the emotional rollercoaster they had been navigating prior to their entry into the show.

In a surprising revelation, Rubina shared that she and Abhinav had made the decision to divorce before they entered Bigg Boss. They had initially agreed that if things didn’t improve, they would part ways after six months. The couple chose to enter the reality show with the hope that it would help them find clarity and potentially mend their relationship.
Rubina explained,"We had decided that after six months, if we parted ways, people would eventually come to know. With Bigg Boss, we faced even bigger challenges. At that time, we thought, if we aren’t together, we’ll part in a dignified way. As public figures, people would question us and want to know about our lives. We decided to take this opportunity to be transparent."
Despite the turmoil, the experience turned out to be a turning point in their relationship. Rubina continued, "Now, when we think about it, we’re grateful that things worked out. If something worse had happened, we would have regretted it. Every time we stood by each other in the house, it brought us closer. Especially for me, my love and respect for Abhinav kept growing."
She went on to express how every challenge the show presented made her admire Abhinav even more. "When Bigg Boss put us through difficult decisions, Abhinav played with integrity and dignity. I saw him stand up for himself and for us, and it reminded me why I fell in love with him in the first place."
It’s clear that Rubina’s decision to open up about their troubled past required immense courage. A sensitive topic, she shared that she was ultimately relieved to have given her marriage a second chance.
