MUMBAI: Seema Kapoor is a talented actress.
She has risen to fame with serials like Kismat (she debuted in Ramesh Sippy's show) Kurukshetra, Hum Saath Aath Hai and Hasratein was quite phenomenal. But her fading into oblivion was also equally surprising.

In an exclusive conversation with TellyChakkar, we asked Seema if she ever faced payment related issues, how she survived in a male dominated industry and her experience with casting couch.
She said, “I have never done any show which was male dominated. I have picked and been very choosy about my roles. I have done only those shows where I have been the lead and it is my show. With regards to payments, I have not faced any problems as such but then there was one producer for whom I was doing four to five shows at the same time and around Rs. 40 to Rs. 50 lakhs was stuck. We took back the money gradually with the help of CINTAA.
If you feel that the producer will feel a sense of responsibility and give the money gradually, it is not so. You have to take the help of CINTAA after not getting a response.”
Shedding light on whether she has experienced casting couch, the actress expressed, “Actually nobody dared to do it as they felt scared looking at my eyes. For that matter even when I gave my closeup shots with actors, they used to tell me that we feel fear looking at your eyes. Some find it mesmerising and some get scared. Another thing is that I never had to face anything like that before because I was never out of work. I have been doing theatre and later some films. Soon after I was introduced through Kismat. Usually struggling actors face this issue.”
Well said Seema!
