MUMBAI: Acclaimed producer Ved Raj, who is currently the producer of popular show Guddan Tumse Na Ho Payega on Zee TV, is planning to bring his new show on Star Plus under his banner Shoonya Square.
According to our sources, the show will be a costume drama. It can either be a historical or a mythological show.
We also hear that the makers have most likely locked actress Ulka Gupta as their female protagonist. Ulka is known for her stint in shows like Jhansi Ki Rani, Veer Shivaji, Khelti Hai Zindagi Aankh Micholi, Devon Ke Dev...Mahadev, among others.
We could not get through Ulka for a comment.
Ved Raj also bankrolled mythological show Namah on Star Plus. However, the show did manage to sustain for the longest in spite of having a unique storyline.
Talking about their hit show Guddan, it is heading for a generation leap. Lead actor Nishant Malkani, who plays the role of AJ, is getting replaced while female protagonist Kanika Mann will play Guddan’s daughter in the show and makers will most likely introduce a new lead opposite Kanika (Read here: Kanika Mann to play Guddan’s daughter post the leap in the show? )
