Come Friday, a new mini-series "The 90s: The Unforgettable Decade", will celebrate the people, inventions and the decisions that shaped the current world.
The tales will be told from the perspective of the history makers, celebrities, politicians and musicians who created these iconic moments.
The series will be reliving the decade through 'inside out' storytelling and analysis. The series includes original interviews - from unsung heroes behind the decade's most riveting stories to known names in politics, technology, movies and music.
It begins with "The 90s Exposed" -- from South African leader Nelson Mandela's prison release and the rise of former US president Bill Clinton to the birth of the "virtual world", a star-studded cast explores the most iconic moments, people and innovations of the 1990s.
The climax of the series will be a two-part India special- "The 90s- India Rediscovered" and "The 90s- The Great Indian Dream", which will dive deep to unfold India's transformation.
It will look back at the drama of the decade with names like P. Chidambaram, Rajdeep Sardesai, Ram Gopal Varma, Prahlad Kakkar, Nandita Das, Pankaj Kapur, Uday Shankar, Sucheta Dalal and Shekhar Suman.
The mini-series, which comes following the success of last year's "The 80s: The Decade That Made Us", will be aired on National Geographic Channel.
