It’s definitely wedding season for the television industry as Urmila Nimbalkar, aka Ankita Ankur Kothari (Sandhya’s sister-in-law) of Diya Aur Baati Hum fame, is the next in line to get married this year.
The actress will tie the knot with her long time boyfriend Sukirt Gumaste tomorrow (9 February 2013).
It so happened that Urmila met Sukirt seven years ago in her theatre group Jagar. What started as friendship, later developed into a love relationship. However, it was only in 2012 that the couple decided to get married.

Sukirt, a Kannadiga Brahmin, is a journalist by profession and works for a publication in Pune.
When we contacted Urmila to know more about her wedding preparation, she said, “We are currently in Karjat at Jeevanvidya Mission. It is a spiritual institute and we will be getting married here in a very unique style. But, before that I had the mehendi ceremony yesterday (7 February 2013), while the haldi, sangeet and ring ceremonies are scheduled today (8 February 2013). In fact, Sukirt and I will be dancing on a love theme in our sangeet. Our reception is on 10 February (2013) in Pune which is post our wedding in Karjat on 9 February (2013).”
Going into the details of her unique wedding, Urmila tells us, “We will be chanting the saptapadi (verse from the ritual) in Marathi on our own while taking the pheras. Usually the pandits do that, but we decided on doing it on our own. Plus the guests will shower us with petals of flowers instead of rice.”
The actress has herself designed her wedding attire, as she tells us, “Initially I will be wearing a nauvari sari, but later I will wear a 15 kilos pink coloured lehenga with a voilet coloured choli and yellow coloured duppata. Basically, I will be very colourful.”
Lastly, when we asked the actress about her honeymoon plans, she shot back saying, “Firstly, we are planning to go to Kerala after which we will go to Australia.”
We at Tellychakkar.com wish the couple a blissful married life!!!
