Vaishnavi aka Meera of Ek Ladki Anjaani Si has gone in for an image makeover. The actor who plays mother to Kanchi Kaul, is barely a few years older to the main lead but yet convincingly portrays a middle aged single woman struggling to make ends meet with an unwed pregnant daughter.
Vaishnavi is now weary of being stereotyped in the middle aged roles and is going to Kochi by the end of this month to voice a song for music maestro Sunny Vishvanathan.

"I want to play roles that reflect my personality and my liveliness. I don't want to play college girl roles obviously, but I am looking for roles with more substance. I also look forward to playing characters I haven't portrayed before, like a negative personality," says Vaishnavi.
The actor who is generally seen as a simple, traditional middle class woman is all set to don young and ravishing classic western outfits too. Her photographer Pinky Makhijani has done a fabulous job on her with exquisite clothing from Violet Moines.
The qualified nutritionist now wants to take up meaty roles. Well, hoping with the new look Vaishnavi gets better luck too.
