Varunn Jain’s ‘interesting hijack’ co-incidence

When people start living together, a connect develops. And this is what exactly happened with the team of Star Plus’ Diya Aur Baati Hum (Shashi Sumeet Productions Pvt Ltd). Recently half of the team was shooting in Latur for the ‘hijack’ sequence and with the rest having off, Varunn Jain, Ashok Lokhande and Karan Goddwani decided to head to Goa for some fun time. Shares Varunn, “Since we were not shooting, the ‘boy’ gang thought to chill out in Goa. It was a sudden plan and to be honest it was one of the best trips we had recently. Without the worry of shooting we were having the best of our time, knowing well that the show already is doing fabulous.” But apart from the trip an interesting occurring happened with the actors while they were returning to Mumbai. “As per the plot, the hijacked plane in the show was ‘Bharat Air’ and was going to Dubai, and the flight that we were travelling with was ‘Air India’ and was also going to Dubai. The coincidence really made us startle. But it did not stop here, the flight captain was also named Sandhya (lead of the show played by Deepika Singh),” informs Varunn with a laugh. We wondered if the team had been scared while travelling. “No yaar, nothing like that but yes it was an odd feeling. But yes some passengers were scared. One of them came up to me and asked me whether this flight would also get hijacked. That was a hilarious moment for we had to calm him down.” Well, now the team has moved back and started shooting again. “It is indeed a pleasure to get back and shoot together with the team as we are more like family. But yes, we are surely missing the luxurious time we enjoyed in Goa.” Wait for an exciting track Varunn, so that the holiday becomes much more exciting!!
