Vijay Pushkar: Will always remember 2020 for the quality time I spent with my family

MUMBAI: Actor Vijay Pushkar, who will soon be seen in the web series Splitends, says that this year will always be memorable for him as it brought him close to his family. The actor says that the lockdown taught him a lot. “I felt bad for the people who lost their jobs and for people who slept for days without food during the lockdown. Sushant Singh Rajput's suicide also made be really sad. But I will remember this year for the quality time I spent with my family and for realising that I can live my life without materialistic things,” he says.

He adds, “During the lockdown, I was in Pune. I finished reading The Autobiography of a Yogi, which helped me stay focussed and positive. Paramahansa Yogananda's spiritual journey was fascinating to read. I also watched old classic movies from the 60's and the 70's. Besides this, I rearranged the house, I painted and had positive conversations with my family members, motivating them to be optimistic. I also spent a lot of time with nature. I learnt to live every movement of my life and I want to continue doing this.”

Ask him what was his biggest achievement in life and he says, “It was realising that I can stay home with minimal clothes, shoes, no outside food and dinner, no weekend parties, no movies and no travelling. Basically, living a simple life…”

Talking about his future plans, he says, “I am looking forward to getting back to work, something I enjoy the most.”
