Vimarsh Roshan who played Aishwarya Rai’s brother Jamaal in J.P. Dutta’s Umrao Jaan has recently made his debut in Rajan Shahi’s Sapna Babul Ka-Bidaai which airs on Star Plus. Vimarsh who was also a runner up at the Grasim Mr. India 05 essays the character of the eldest son of the Rajvansh family. Extremely business minded and tactful, he takes over his uncle’s (Avinaash Wadhvan) business and will also create trouble in Sadhana’s life.
Vimarsh says, “The name of my character is Naveen Rajvansh. The character is the lead male negative in the Rajvansh family where the protagonists of the serial get married. The specialty of the character lies in its restrained negativity.” Vimarsh adds, “This restraint is due to the class that this character belongs to and also due to fact that his ill ambitions are directed against the very people he is inspired by and takes support from.”
Talking on how he got the role Vimarsh informs, “The role of Bidaai came to me through the conventional process of audition, look test and so on.”
He adds, “I find working with the Bidaai team a wonderful learning experience and add to my luck the team is extremely supporting of my learning endeavours. Rajan Shahi is a very good producer and the credit of the success of the show goes to him.”
Talking about his experience of working with Aishwarya Rai he says, “She was very nice and humble to the extent of walking up to me and introducing herself. While shooting too I was amazed to find her giving the cues herself for my shots and I learned a great deal from her.”
Vimarsh wishes to be the best in the business of entertainment but doesn’t believe in planning for the same. He says, “I would like to take it step by step keeping continuous growth in mind and ensuring that I always do my best.”
As Vimarsh takes the plunge from the big screen to the small screen we hope that his success graph goes up.
