Wasn’t supposed to play the grown up Manikarnika in Khoob Ladi Mardani: Jhansi Ki Rani: Anushka Sen

Anushka revealed an interesting detail that she was finalised only to play the teenage version of Manikarnika in Colors

In an exclusive LIVE session with TellyChakkar, Anushka spoke at length and shared her experience from his journey in the showbiz industry. She revealed her quarantine schedule and much more. Speaking candidly about her show Khoob Ladi Mardaani: Jhansi Ki Rani, Anushka revealed an interesting detail that she was finalised only to play the teenage version of Manikarnika, however, channel was quite impressed with her performance and hence she was asked to carry on with the grown-up version as well. She said, “I was quite elated on bagging the show and could feel the responsibility of playing a freedom fighter. I was actually supposed to play only until the teenage version of Rani Laxmibai in the show. However, the channel really liked my work and chemistry with Vikkas Manaktala and thus I was asked to carry on with the grown-up character as well. She further added, “Once my grandmother called my mother and told her that I look so mature onscreen, to which my mother told her that it’s all because of the make-up and saree”.
