Wear it like Rishina Kandhari!

MUMBAI: Soon after the novel Coronavirus was declared a pandemic, a nationwide lockdown was imposed by the government of India. Pandemic and consequent lockdown restricted our lives in many ways. But with the unlockdown already in phase three, India is getting back on it's feet with all the precautionary measures for minimizing any risk of infection from the COVID-19 virus. PPE kits and masks are the new essentials now, and while we can see masks available in different fabrics and prints, PPE kits give a very plain jane look. But fret not, Rishina Kandhari is here to tell you how to look fab even in an overall PPE kit.

The "Diya Aur Baati Hum" actress went to the Inorbit Mall, Malad, recently along with her husband Vishal and daughter Tiarah. And she accessorized her PPE overall with a red coloured wide belt that she paired up with matching shoes. Check out her pics because she will definitely make you go "wow". The "Ek Villain" actress even took to Instagram to share the pics and captioned it as, "Why to blend in when you were born to stand out." And she clearly stood out, who would have thought of making a simple PPE look so cool.

She revealed, "I am a fashion lover and I like all things fancy the plain blue PPE kit gave me a dull feeling so I just went with my gut and jazzed it up with a little bit with some accessorize. To my surprise I got a lot of compliments about my style and the way I carried it out. More so for having such guts to wear something like that to a mall in front of hundreds of people."

Thanks for the fashion tip Rishina. This will definitely inspire more familiar looks.  Sharing her experience of going out after almost five months, she said, "At first I was too skeptical of going to the mall but it is right in front of my building and I could see everything going around. I saw a lot of cars parked there and people were pretty happy about the malls being open. With Tiarah‘s birthday approaching on 14th Aug, she wanted me to come along with her for shopping. I didn’t want to take any chances and hence wore a PPE kit for safety. You can say I was paranoid but it’s better to be safe than sorry. Everyone in the mall was looking at me with amusement and I made their stare worth their while. I don’t care what people think, I don’t give a heed to 'log kya kahenge', my life my safety."

She continued, "You really have to take care of yourself out there, you never know who is an asymptomatic patient and who’s not. Though the mall was taking care of sanitizing all the people before they entered and even checked their temperatures, it’s too early to take chances. Also, social-distancing was only at the cash counters, there was a long line outside the trial rooms which I found risky. I would suggest that if you know your size only then go and buy clothes, trying out clothes in trial rooms is neither safe for you nor for others. Also when you buy new clothes come home and immediately put them for washing to get rid of any sort of germs."

The "Tenali Rama" actress also gave details of her shopping list and said she bought some clothes and cosmetics as she will begin shooting for her new show soon. "I had to shop for some clothes and cosmetics as I am starting to shoot for my new show 'Aye Mere Humsafar' August 10 onwards or else going to the mall is the last thing on my mind during these times," she said.

On the work front, Rishina will soon be seen in a cameo in "Tera Yaar Hoon Main". She is also a part of "Aye Mere Humsafar".
