MUMBAI: Most of the kids have grown up watching Sab TV’s popular show Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah. The show changed the entire narrative of family drama since it upended the daily soap-dominated system. The show has also changed the lives of its actors, particularly veterans like Dilip Joshi.

Dilip has become associated with Jethalal from the show, and we can't picture anyone else playing him. But according to a report, Jethalal was presented to four distinct actors, not just one or two. Rajpal Yadav, Kiku Sharda, Yogesh Tripathi, and Ali Asgar are among the names on the list. Without a doubt, each of these performers has the ability to play any role, but the news was entirely false.

On the internet, there have been numerous intriguing casting rumours regarding Taarak Mehta. However, the tale we told earlier about the actors that were contacted to play Jethalal is completely incorrect. Asit Kumarr Modi had only Dilip Joshi in mind when he came up with the idea for the show.

Asit Kumarr Modi gave Dilip Joshi two roles in Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah: Jethalal and Champaklal (Jethalal's father). There was no one finalised in the casting at the moment. Dilip chose Jethalal over Champaklal because he thought he wouldn't be right for the character.

Today Dilip Joshi’s role as Jethalal has become a household name.
