A break of seventeen months for a television actor is a strict no-no, as there are great chances that the audiences and casting director will forget he or she exists. But some ballsy actors do it intentionally citing personal reasons, while others are forced into it owing to non-availability of suitable roles.
One such actor is Pracheen Chauhan, who was last seen in Maat Pitaah Ke Charnon Mein Swarg, a year and a half ago. Though his break wasn’t intentional but realizing that it may extend further, he did things that he had been postponing for quite some time.
"I finally went to South Africa on a leisure trip," reveals the actor.
"But my new house in Mumbai is my greatest achievement in these seventeen months," adds Pracheen. According to him buying an apartment in Mumbai is a lifetime achievement as there are innumerable options available in the city.
After months of house hunting, he finally zeroed in on a two and a half bedroom apartment in the Western suburbs of Malad.
“It was like a dream come true for me," says Pracheen.
The reason for selecting Malad was simple; firstly the actor has been living in the area for the past five to six years and also because he didn’t want to go away from his acquaintances.
"The best part is the house is centrally located and it is a prime property," highlights Pracheen.
The actor is currently awaiting possession of the house.
Being on a hiatus for a year now, we are sure getting married to his longtime girlfriend, fellow actor Archana Taide must have crossed Pracheen’s mind. The actor, however, negated the possibility, "Buying a house may be seen as the first step of settling down, but marriage is definitely not on the cards!".
Currently the actor plays Keerat in Rajan Shahi's Havan and is elated about the same, "I think that the wait (for the role) was worth it."
All we can say is that we are happy for you.
