MUMBAI: Shweta Tiwari, who will be debuting on digital space with ALTBalaji’s family drama Hum, Tum and Them, says that she had not heard of the male lead Akshay Oberoi before this show, and she Googled him.
Shweta, who was previously seen in TV soaps like Kasautii Zindagii Kay (2001) and Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai, will be playing the character of a super talented Textile Revivalist in the web show.
Along with Shweta, the Selection Day and The Test Case fame actor Akshay Oberoi will play the lead role.
Interestingly, both the actors had little idea about each other before they started working on this web show.
Shweta said to media, “I am happy to return to my first love. I have only shot for one day, and I realized I missed being in front of the camera. The shoot didn’t require much time as we were filming in Mumbai. Since I had not done a web series, this seemed like the perfect opportunity.”
“I had not heard of Akshay Oberoi before, so I Googled him," she added.
While Akshay said, "I am uneducated about the telly world. Although I didn’t know Shweta Tiwari, I was quickly made aware of how big a star she is. It is an honour to be working with her. I am now catching up on her past work”.
“Since I have to look older than my age, my makeup takes longer. I play a guy who has little sense of responsibility until he meets his match,” added he actor.
