Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai actors Shivangi Joshi and Mohsin Khan test negative for COVID-2019

According to the report, Shivangi Joshi and Mohsin Khan, who play lead roles in Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai, have tested negative for coronavirus. However, all the members of the show have been asked to undergo home quarantine for the safety reason.

MUMBAI: The shooting of Shivangi Joshi and Mohsin Khan starrer Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai came to a halt recently after few of their co-stars and crew members tested positive for Coronavirus. Sachin Tyagi who is essaying the character of Manish Goenka on the show tested positive for COVID-2019 and later other actors and crew members went through a precautionary test. After this, the makers released a statement revealing not only Sachin Tyagi but Swati Chitinis and Samir Onkar had also tested positive for the virus along with four crew members. Whereas few others were waiting for the test results among whom were show's main lead Kartik (Mohsin Khan) and Naira (Shivangi Joshi).

Now, according to a report in SpotboyE.com, both the lead actors have tested negative. A source from the show reveals, "Shivangi and Mohsin received their report today and fortunately it has turned out negative. However, all the members of the show have been asked to undergo home quarantine for the safety reason.” 

The official statement issued by the makers recently stated, "Swati Chitnis, Samir Onkar and Sachin Tyagi who are an integral part of 'Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai', have tested positive for COVID-19, but the three of them are asymptomatic. Due to safety reasons, they are in-home quarantine. BMC had advised them for the same as they were showing no symptoms. Immediately, the entire on-crew team was isolated and tested. Four crew members have now tested positive. The BMC has been informed and the entire set has been sanitised and fumigated. Currently, all of them are receiving medical attention in-home quarantine. We are constantly in touch with them as their health is our priority. We stand by our commitment to safety and will continue to ensure that all safety and precautionary measures are adhered to.”
