MUMBAI: Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai actress Shirin Sewani tied the knot with Udayan Sachan, an airline captain, in Delhi.
“We both met at a common friend’s birthday party, which both of us were about to miss (laughs). But I guess we were destined to meet that day. We hit it off instantly and knew the first day we met that this is it. Now, I am just looking for the eventful journey called life, together with him.”, she expressed.
The actress got married in court and later had a small ceremony at her home with only a few family members in attendance.

“I always wanted it to be like this. Weddings, I feel, are a very personal affair. When things allow for some normalcy, we will definitely celebrate with our extended families and friends.”, she confirmed.
The newlyweds are set to fly to Dehradun tomorrow to spend some time with Udayan’s family. “As of now, we will be staying with Udayan’s parents in Dehradun, and maybe explore some nearby getaways. When the time and situation permits, we will sneak out to get some more alone time.”, Shirin shares.
