MUMBAI: Shruti Ulfat plays the role of Vidya Poddar in Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai.

Shruti mentioned, “I closely work with Samridhii and our characters mingle a lot in terms of various emotions they portray towards each other. There are times when I was not liking her, there are times when I love her and there are also times when I am upset with her in reel life but she is a wonderful performer. She is kind of a newcomer because she has done one show prior to this and that also with the same makers with whom I was doing a show earlier. I never worked with her there because it was a different project. I have met her before and it is a pleasure to associate with her. Our bond has become much stronger.
The hardwork she has put into this is amazing. She is a very dedicated actor and a beautiful soul inside out. She knows her lines well, she has read screenplays, scripts and we talk and discuss our scenes too. She listens to her director, when he explains her, guides her, directs her and she is very receptive. This is something that I think the new generation is lacking because the commitment, the will and the passion to do well is not the criteria anymore.
The criteria is about making money and looking glamorous and how you market yourself on social media. But that too has become quite essential these days.
